Ads always annoy me, especially when they get in the way of what you're doing. If they were unobtrusive I would just let them be, but they always progress to more and more annoying to gain attention. Skype Ads are no different.

First there were none, now there are some. And now they change colours, blink on and off, and remove focus from the message window in the middle of typing. They make a workable program frustrating to the point of looking for an alternative. Let's not even get into the ridiculous memory usage of the program.

For some odd reason, a 2 second delay is included by default when accidentally entering an incorrect username and password combination. This is meant to be a security feature to prevent evil people from brute force attacking your password!

I type pretty fast when I'm on the command line and periodically, for commands that don't really matter, I don't check what I've typed and just press enter. This is especially true for directory listings which I have "ls -la" pretty much hard coded into my fingers. This particular one I mistype as "ls- la" all the time.

On Ubuntu, and other "helpful" platforms, there is a package installed called "command-not-found" which will take about 2-3 seconds to come up with a list of command it thinks you might have wanted to type but you haven't got installed right now.

I clear my cookies cache, and everything else, any time my browser closes and it drives me up a freakin wall that every time I open the browser that the dreaded google auto-complete is there and ready to go.

It sucks because I type faster than it can handle, and I watch the screen while doing it. Because I'm reading while I'm typing, I end up typing whatever random thing that google comes up with instead of what I want to search for!
