Disable delay when incorrect password entered on login

For some odd reason, a 2 second delay is included by default when accidentally entering an incorrect username and password combination. This is meant to be a security feature to prevent evil people from brute force attacking your password!

However, for a desktop computer without any network login access this is just plain dumb. If someone wants to sit at my computer and brute force my password by typing in millions of them, good luck to that person (They aren't going to succeed). For me, it's just one more annoying thing, usually when I'm in a hurry, when I come back to my secured computer.

To turn it off, edit the /etc/pam.d/common-auth file and add a nodelay to the common pam_unix.so line.

# here are the per-package modules (the "Primary" block)
auth [success=1 default=ignore] pam_unix.so nullok_secure nodelay
